Produkt Details ] Quentin Derbier has proven the ION14 goes fast! Before the qualifiers of the UCI world championships in Leogang, some believed 4X fullies were inferior to hardtails. And then Quentin finished fifth with the ION 14 fully. It transfers pedal strokes into speed like a hardtail, which has benefits beyond 4X. For starters the rider benefits from a relaxed climbing position making all mountain tours a pleasure. Second, its very progressive rear frame kinematics and the rear shock with some extra travel turn it into a true slopestyle machine. Those pro section jumps of modern 4X tracks, some as far as 15 meters, and drops as deep as three meters on slopestyle are its bread and butter. Not least of all a zero stack headtube and 12mm axle improve its stiffness-to-weight ratio, so we happily issue five years of warranty also for racing. |
